These terms govern your use of Mobistride at www.mobistride.app, a South African marketplace that matches e-hailing and delivery drivers with vehicle owners and fleets. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy, which covers how we handle personal information and how to delete your data.
Mobistride lists vehicles and, when a driver has an active chat pass, opens an in-app chat between that driver and the listing owner. We are not a party to the rental. We do not supply the vehicle, collect rental or deposit money, or employ drivers. Handover, deposits, weekly or monthly payments, insurance and platform work (Uber, Bolt, inDrive, delivery apps and the like) are agreed and performed directly between you and the other user.
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract in South Africa. Drivers are responsible for holding a valid licence, PDP where required, and any approval the work platform demands. Owners and fleets are responsible for the legal right to list the vehicle and for the condition and documents they describe.
You sign up and sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook only. You must keep that login secure and give accurate profile information. You may not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade a ban, or share your login. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is abusive, fraudulent or in breach of these terms.
Chat access is a prepaid platform feature. Paying for a pass lets a driver start and send messages in listing conversations for the stated period; it does not book the vehicle or pay the owner. Access is not cash, has no value off Mobistride, and is not a rental deposit. Unused time on a live pass stays until it expires or the account is closed under our privacy policy. Buying again adds another period onto a live pass, or starts a new period if it has lapsed. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may revoke the related access.
Owners and fleets must list vehicles they are entitled to rent out, with honest descriptions, prices and photos. You must keep availability up to date and pause or remove a listing that is no longer offered. We may hide or remove listings that appear misleading, unsafe, or in breach of these terms.
You agree not to:
Inspect the vehicle and paperwork in person before paying a deposit. Report suspected scams to us and to the authorities where appropriate.
Being listed as suitable for a ride-hailing or delivery platform does not mean that platform has approved you or the vehicle. You must meet that platform's own rules. Mobistride is not affiliated with Uber, Bolt, inDrive or any delivery network in a way that makes us responsible for their decisions.
Browsing listings is free. Opening new conversations and sending messages as a driver requires a paid chat pass as shown in the product. Owners may pay for listing plans with vehicle caps as shown on the billing page. We may change those prices; the price at the time you pay is the one that applies. We do not charge a commission on the rental itself.
The service is provided as a matching and messaging tool. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law we are not liable for:
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for gross negligence or fraud where that protection applies.
Mobistride branding, design and software belong to us. You keep ownership of photos and text you upload, and you grant us a licence to host and display them so the marketplace can function. You must have the right to upload that content.
You may stop using Mobistride at any time. To delete your personal information, follow the data-deletion section in the privacy policy. We may also close accounts that violate these terms. Listings and chats tied to a closed account are handled as described in that policy.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, except where the law requires a different process.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
